Nothing's as good as binge watching old movies during the Christmas holidays. I usually do this with my little sister, both wearing our Christmas onesies and mum coming in every our, saying something like "Are you seriously still watching tv? Can't you do something productive at least once a day? Go and take the dog for a walk!"
So, in case you are in need for some movie inspiration for your own movie watching bonanza - here's one of my very favourite old films: "Evil Under The Sun" based on Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot novel.
Hercule Poirot - the Belgian master detective is going on a little vacation to some lovely island in the Southern Sea. Of course there's a murder happening - and there's also some awesome fashion going on (which is at least as interesting as the murder!). Apparently the 50s were quite en vogue during the early 80s, which makes for a fairly interesting style concept...
The cast is insanely great with Sir Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot, the unbelievably gorgeous Jane Birkin, Diana Rigg and Maggie Smith as the shrewy hotel owner.
There's also another movie with Sir Peter Ustinov as Hercule Poirot: "Death on the Nile". So if you're already on the couch, go ahead and watch both of them in one go.--
